William M. Jordan - President

Mr. William Jordan, President of The Sentinel Group, Inc., located in Laguna Hills, California, has been serving South OrangeCounty for more than a decade. William established his career in a new office with Edward Jones in 1997, which he successfully developed in the prominent area of Lake Mission Viejo. In 2001, William joined Sentinel Capital Management, Inc. and became President of the firm in 2004. William has successfully achieved Series 7, Series 24, Series 63, and Series 65 designations.

William is nationally recognized as an expert in the field of financial planning, investment management and college funding, established through his interviews and featured quotes as seen in The Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s and Forbes magazines. He recently appeared on CNBC Power Lunch and CNBC Breaking News Future of Financials.

William, a regularly featured speaker in Southern California, has conducted financial seminars, stewardship boot camps, and college funding workshops for more than ten thousand individuals over the last few years. His presentations include a variety of financial topics; his most popular are Why Smart People Do Dumb Things with Their Money, Strategic Use of Home Equity in Financial Planning, College Financial Planning, and Women and Their Money.

William is President and Founder of Sentinel College Funding, a company focused on providing affordable college financial planning and scholarship location services since 2001. In the last seven years, his firm has assisted over 3,000 families in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas obtain affordable financial aid for college, regardless of lack of or abundance of income.

The mission statement of The Sentinel Group is “Guarding Your Financial Future”. The main objective in accomplishing this is to understand the client’s most important financial goals; and systematically design financial strategies to provide the highest level of confidence in accomplishing those “lifestyle” goals.

Currently William is Vice President of the Orange county chapter of LeTip International and is a member of Vistage Chief Executive Organization. William has been a resident of South Orange County for over twenty years. He and his wife, Tiphanie, have enjoyed more than thirteen years of marital bliss while raising their two daughters. Active members of LifeChurch in Mission Viejo, William and Tiphanie currently serve on a team of worship leaders and oversee the leadership for the church’s Couples Ministry.
