Testimonial of the Month

To the parents of high school age children,

I just wanted to relate my past experience in dealing with Sentinel College Funding. I had a daughter that had completed her freshman year at the University of Arizona and I had tried a few times to figure out the FAFSA form on the web. To say the least it was confusing. I was busy and had other things to do like work and all the other "stuff" we have to do in our daily lives. I came back to it a few times and tried to proceed without success. I guess I didn't have the necessary patience at that time. Besides, I had set aside some money to pay for her education. Well, I got her through the first year and then had a significant change in my work and personal life that changed my income significantly.

Luckily a friend of mine asked if I wanted to attend a workshop on College Funding and I said sure, since I needed some help. I found the workshop very informational and I really needed some help with the process. I signed up for the service and was very relieved to find out that my daughter was now eligible for a significant amount of financial aid. It was also interesting to find out how different schools meet your need based on whether or not they are public or private and in state or out of state. The service center was extremely helpful in answering my questions and making suggestions as to how I should proceed. They completed the paperwork and in a short time I had received a very helpful financial aid package back from the University of Arizona. The follow up from the service center has been most helpful as well. They provided me with time tables as to when certain items needed to be completed so I wouldn't forget.

The bottom line for me is that I would recommend the service to anyone with children in high school that are eligible for and planning to attend a 4 year college. The sooner you sign up for the service the more valuable it is. Don't do what I did and wait till your kids are already in college.
